The results are in from our annual Turkey Drive, and we couldn’t be more thrilled! The Russell Rowland team is passionate about supporting our community, and this year’s drive once again showed the incredible impact of neighbors helping neighbors. Between November 15-17, we gathered turkeys for donation to the Mandarin Food Bank.
The work being done at the Mandarin Food Bank is truly remarkable. Their focus is on providing emergency food and clothing to those facing hardship in the Mandarin Community. They go beyond just feeding families by also providing duffle bags with necessary items to migrant workers and offering a Life Skills program that empowers people to build stronger futures.
We were truly overwhelmed by how our community showed up! After collecting for three days, we brought the turkeys to the Mandarin Food Bank on November 18th. Last year’s total was 75 turkeys, and we’re delighted to report that this year we gathered 142 turkeys! We nearly doubled our numbers from the year before!
Being able to support people who are less fortunate is something we value deeply, especially as many families face financial challenges. Thanksgiving can be a difficult time for those trying to stretch their budgets, and knowing we helped bring warmth and sustenance to their holiday meals fills our hearts with joy. By joining forces, we made certain that local families could enjoy Thanksgiving dinner.
We never take for granted all the blessings in our lives, and we want to extend our heartfelt appreciation to every single person who contributed a turkey to help us support hungry families. Your participation made all the difference. The generosity you showed made this Turkey Drive our biggest success to date, and we’re excited to keep this tradition growing in the years ahead!
